2) Lecture by Prof. Luca Scorrano entitled “Keeping mitochondria in shape: a matter of life and death”

On 4^th September 2012, Prof. Luca Scorrano from the Department of Cell Physiology and Metabolism, University of Geneva, gave an invited lecture entitled “Keeping mitochondria in shape: a matter of life and death” under the framework of INsPiRE project. Prof. Scorrano is expert on mitochondrial dynamics and the analysis of programmed cell death. The coordinator of INsPiRE Prof. Christos Kittas, the Steering committee, members of our Cancer Research Group as well as academics, post-doctoral students, and scientists from research centers of Athens attended the lecture and discussed scientific issues of mutual interest.
